A 'Thin Place' was a term used by the early Celtic Christians to describe a place where they sensed the veil between earth and heaven was so thin that they were virtually fused together. Two such spiritual places in the 7th and later centuries were the islands of Iona, Scotland and Lindisfarne (Holy Island), Northumberland and this project was a personal journey to walk in the footsteps of St Aidan and St Cuthbert
