"The way in which the nature funerals have changed unfortunately is that we are having to conduct services under trying conditions in that at most crematorium now we are not permitted in the chapel which means we have to conduct the services at the chapel entrance with, in most cases, only 10 family and friends attending. Other family and friends may attend but they have to keep at a distance so they have to stay in the car park or quite a few feet away from us which sadly means they often can’t hear the eulogy. We’re finding that the services are actually far more intimate, not ideal circumstances but as I say in the introduction to my services, ‘this may not be the service that you imagined however, I would like to remind you that you are fortunate that you are able to attend and say goodbye today, so let us bear that in mind as we now share the story of their life’."
