"Things have been really different for us. We’ve been open the entire time and have around 25 children coming in. The staff have worked really hard with only half the staff in that we normally do. We are really proud of our staff, everything that they have done and the hard work they put in. We’ve had to do lots of things in terms of putting measures in place such as social distancing and washing hands as much as we possibly can, but obviously being a special school the most important thing for us is to make sure the children are safe and the teams are kept in place. There are lots of things we need to do that maybe a mainstream school doesn’t need to, but it’s about keeping the children safe and happy and helping them through this time. The children been really good actually - they’ve coped really well, much better than we thought they would as there is a different regime, but the staff and the love they are given has really made a big difference."
