Its not been very comfortable and a bit frightening and you can’t mix at all. I don’t go collecting now on a Thursday and a Friday evenings because people don’t want you on the doors and I don’t want to pass anything on. So you don’t get in contact with your customers which I did and thoroughly enjoy doing. There are elderly customers who don’t see anybody and I suppose we were a bit of a life line just having a word on the door. What can you do – you just have to ride the storm if it ever gets back to normal and we’ll start again.
We’re doing quite well with the doorstep milk and and demand has gone up with people not going to work in the offices and stopping at home and having more coffee and tea. Everything is going good apart of course from the restaurants which is sad for them but once they get back it will start again.
I do the doorsteps and go to Luddenden Foot, Luddenden, one or two in Midgley and then Sowerby Bridge, Pyenest and Willowfield. and my daughter and her husband and Stephen they do more with the vans to shops.
